We are not technical Oly coaches and we're not a CrossFit Box, so why do so many Oly lifters and CrossFit athletes work with us?
Well, what we ARE is very good at filling in the gaps and fine tuning your movement patterns to allow you to perfect your execution of those lifts. We are fortunate to know the lifts, understand the body's requirements to perform them successfully, and poses the tools to facilitate change at the tissue, joint, or neurological level.
Injuries commonly occur when we are attempting to put the body into positions that it is not fully capable of achieving. Under high load and conditions of fatigue, the system eventually breaks down. Through evaluation and screening we can identify deficiencies and implement strategies to correct them. This is the inherent duality of Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention. Too often these are thought to be separate and vastly different from one another, when in fact they are very closely related.
We are committed to helping you rehab injuries in a way that minimizes down time and promotes continued training with modifications that will help promote healing. Too often athletes are told to completely stop all activity, the traditional "Rest, Ice, & Ibuprofen" recipe. Unfortunately, that is a very outdated approach to injury management.
Competition Prep / Post-Workout Recovery
If you complete in a competition, or are increasing the volume and intensity of your workouts in preparation for a competition, our Recovery Sessions are aimed at helping you to continue performing at your best. Our goal is to assist you in managing the stresses that this type of training places on the nervous system, as well as the joints and tissues of the body.
